To do well in any subject you must be able to think correctly! Thinking skills are something you can learn and develop. Ask yourself questions as you read your textbooks and notes. Talk to other students whom you notice have good thinking skills. You can also sharpen your thinking skills by taking IQ tests available in books or the Internet, or playing games that require thinking such as word games.

UniMAP Among World's Best In Mechanical Engineering

ALMATY, Nov 29 (Bernama) -- Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) is among the world's top 300 universities in Mechanical Engineering (Aeronautical and Manufacturing), based on the latest QS World University Rangkings by Subject.

The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail said UniMAP also excelled in Electronic and Electrical Engineering and was ranked among the 350 best universities in the world.

He said this during the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on academic cooperation between UniMAP and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, here.

UniMAP was represented by Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs and Alumni (HEPA) Prof Dr Mohd Fo'ad Sakdan, while Al-Farabi Kazakh National University by its rector Galimkair Mutanov.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin, who is also UniMAP Chancellor, said that all 21 conventional engineering programmes offered by UniMAP were accredited by the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).

He said Al-Farabi Khazakh National University has shown interest in working with UniMAP in areas such as new media, Islamic finance and international business.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University's deputy rectors Aizhan Smailova and Tlekkabul Ramazanov were also present.

In conjunction with the event, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin received the International Al-Farabi Friend's Club honorary medal, which is the highest award from the university.

He was then taken to visit the rectorate building, which houses the museum, library, student affairs complex, the security centre and the sports complex which produced many sporting heroes for Kazakhstan.

The Raja Muda arrived in Kazakhstan yesterday after completing UniMAP's four-day 'Jelajah Ilmu' programme in Azerbaijan.
