To do well in any subject you must be able to think correctly! Thinking skills are something you can learn and develop. Ask yourself questions as you read your textbooks and notes. Talk to other students whom you notice have good thinking skills. You can also sharpen your thinking skills by taking IQ tests available in books or the Internet, or playing games that require thinking such as word games.

Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Congratulates SPM 2016 Candidates

SEREMBAN, March 16 (Bernama) -- Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan congratulated Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2016 candidates who secured Negeri Sembilan's place as second in national ranking.

Mohamad said the 2016 SPM results for the schools of the state showed great improvement, with a National Average Grade (GPN) Index of 4.79 compared to 4.90 in 2015.

He commended everyone involved in materialising the state government's aspiration to continue to excel in the education agenda.

"Congratulations to all students who succeeded, parents and guardians, as well as teachers who worked hard incessantly to educate the future generation," he said in a statement here.

Mohamad also praised Tunku Kursiah College for being the top boarding school nationwide.

"Congratulations also to all religious schools for achieving good results, with 11 (religious) schools in the state included as among the top 20 schools scoring the best SPM results this year.

"The performance of rural schools is also encouraging and shows their capacity to also excel," he added.

From 15,129 students who sat for SPM 2016, 499 students scored all As, while 85.8 per cent from the overall total qualified to secure SPM certificates compared to 84.7 per cent in 2015.
