SMA Al-Falah First School In East Coast To Receive YBR Contribution

KEMAMAN, July 16 (Bernama) --Sekolah Menengah Agama (SMA) Al-Falah Kemaman, Terengganu is the first school in the east coast region to receive a contribution the from Bank Rakyat Foundation (YBR).

YBR general manager Norashikin Shaharuddin said the foundation donated RM17,000 to develop 'Serambi Corner' at the school.

"This is the second school selected nationwide after Sekolah Kebangsaan Putrajaya Presint 18(1) in Putrajaya. After this we will go to Sekolah Kebangsaan Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. These three adopted schools are being provided with a counter comprising three units of computers and reading materials.

"We hope the donation will help students to improve their academic achievement and to reduce the digital gap among them. The students will also use the ICT effectively in learning activity," she told reporters at handover ceremony of the donation to adopted school 'Pledge Serambi Ilmu Rakyat (SIR) Corner', here today.

'Serambi Corner' was inspired by SIR Library under YBR, a library facility equipped with digital access in the selected schools.
