To do well in any subject you must be able to think correctly! Thinking skills are something you can learn and develop. Ask yourself questions as you read your textbooks and notes. Talk to other students whom you notice have good thinking skills. You can also sharpen your thinking skills by taking IQ tests available in books or the Internet, or playing games that require thinking such as word games.

Mohd Roslan Appointed UPM Deputy Vice-chancellor

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 4 (Bernama) -- Prof Dr Mohd Roslan Sulaiman has been appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni) of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) for a three-year term, effective Sept 1.

According to a UPM statement today, he replaces Prof Dr Mohamad Shatar Sabran who was appointed Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) on Feb 24 this year.

It said Mohd Roslan's appointment letter was signed by Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh on Aug 28.

Born in Kuala Rompin, Pahang, Mohd Roslan is a professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UPM, and obtained his Degree in Veterinary Medicine from UPM in 1994, and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D) from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland in 1999.

In addition to holding the post of Deputy Dean (Student Affairs and Alumni) from 2006 to 2012, he has published more than 150 journals, proceedings, books, book chapters and technical reports based on the various research he has conducted.
