BESUT, Nov 12 (Bernama) --The Higher Education Ministry (KPT) hopes the implementation of the integrated Cumulative Grade Point Average (iCGPA) in 2019 will produce university students with a more holistic and balanced personality.

Its Minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh said the ministry's iCGPA would be able to monitor and evaluate the academic performance and professional skills of students during their academic years in the university, according to grades.

He said through this initiative, it would also prevent students from being involved in social ills such as corruption.

"Eight domains introduced in iCGPA was formulated to mould students towards knowledge and skills as well as possessing social responsibilities and a positive attitude towards professionalism after completing their studies at universities," he told reporters after signing the 165th Community House plaque in Kampung Gong Nering, here today.

Idris was commenting on the statement by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Dzulkifli Ahmad yesterday that a research on 1,000 graduates last year showed that 16 per cent of them were willing to accept bribes.
