USIM Prof Among Recipients Of 'Prof. Indira Parikh 50 Women In Education Leaders' Award

NILAI, Nov 27 (Bernama) -- Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Professor Dr Roshada Hashim was the only woman in Malaysia to receive the 'Prof. Indira Parikh 50 Women in Education Leaders' award presented by the World Education Congress in Taj Lands End, Mumbai, India, last Thursday.

According to a statement by USIM's Strategic Communication Centre, Roshada, 57, was among 50 recipients of the award for her outstanding achievement in the Post Graduate for History and Management research field.

The Penang native holds a Doctorate in Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Salford and has experience in the academic field for almost three decades and was also committed in aquaculture sustainable development for small and medium scale farmers, the statement said.

"The appreciation is given for her extraordinary achievements including in the criteria of Strategic Perspective, Future Orientation, Track Record, Integrity and Ethics, Ability for Sustainability Education and Evaluation Approach," said the statement.

The statement said, Roshada had also been involved in Fish Nutrition; Feeding Strategies and Management; and Analytical Biochemistry and always invited to deliver speeches in local and international conferences.
