54,824 Obtain 8A In Kafa Class Assessment Test

PUTRAJAYA, Jan 29 (Bernama) -- A total of 54,824 candidates of the 2017 Kafa Class Assessment Test (UPKK) obtained 8As, said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom.

The number was 18 per cent higher than the 46,461 who obtained 8As in the 2016 examination, he said in a statement here today.

Jamil Khir said 21,639 candidates obtained 7As while 21,462 garnered 6As and 23,950 achieved 5As out of the 204,684 candidates who sat for the examination.

The Prayer Practical and Appreciation of Islamic Life subjects had the highest rate of passes, at 99.9 per cent, while the Quran subject recorded a 99.7 per cent pass rate.

The candidates can obtain their results at their respective schools from 2 pm today. They can also check their results online at semakan.Islam, or by sending an SMS to mySMS 15888 between 11 am and 5 pm daily until Feb 5.

Jamil Khir said registration of candidates for this year's examination was also open to non-citizens, with conditions.
